You know that no matter the language or socio-cultural background, food is always a means of connection. Then again, the pandemic has certainly made it a little, well, difficult to go out for lunch with your team, friends, or community. But, hey! It’s 2021, fortunately, we can still enjoy our lunch outs and dinner parties as much as we do in real life.
What we like to call at our office “ After-work dinner party “ which we occasionally have on Friday evenings after work or sometimes when we feel like grabbing lunch together virtually and let me tell you, it’s even more fun than IRL ones.
Grab a Seat and Let’s Have Dinner Together!
Even though you can still virtually stand/sit anywhere at oVice, but we like to role-play so everyone takes a seat around the eating table and we usually start with a chit chat before actually digging into our food.
When hunger calls our names, we share our cameras and everyone starts eating.
What’s on the Menu?
If we’re having lunch together, we like to go for a Bento Box and everyone would be eating the same meal and of course, we would be analyzing the taste just like the food critic from Ratatouille.
If it’s dinner, some people order the same meal, and others like to cook their own food at home. Sometimes, some of our team members even do a pre-dinner virtual cooking session and try out a new recipe.
Where Does it Take Place?
Funny enough, most of the time the party takes place at our virtual office space, but sometimes we do host it in another space especially if we invite people outside of our company.
Jamming Some Music 🎸
Luckily, we have our own rock star on our team. So we get to enjoy free musical shows from time to time. It’s always great to know more about our team members and when hosting dinner parties for the office, everyone feels more relaxed and they get to be themselves. That’s what brings team members closer! Food is everything, Sir.
